Flip: Once poked with a red hot iron rod and served warm. Nowadays, you only have
to contend with a whole egg.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Brandy
  • 2 barspoon Sugar
  • 1 unit Egg

Instructions

Dry shake all ingredients. Shake all ingredients with ice. Double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with Grated Nutmeg

Flips basically consist of any fortified wine or liquor shaken with a whole egg, sweetened with sugar, and garnished with grated nutmeg. Historically served hot, somewhere along the way it started being served cold, and so it has been until today.
